Associate Director for Training

The Kristin Farmer Autism Center (KFAC) Associate Director for Training provides leadership for staff training, professional development, and service quality systems at the Kristin Farmer Autism Center. This role supports the preparation of direct service providers to deliver compassionate, evidence-based care that promotes meaningful outcomes for clients and families.
Working in collaboration with clinical and operational leadership, the Associate Director for Training develops and strengthens training systems that support consistent service delivery, family partnership, and the development of future professionals in behavior analysis, including systems that support workforce readiness, supervision standards, and training compliance.

Minimum Qualifications

Master's degree in Behavior Analysis, Psychology, Education, or a related field; current Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification in good standing; at least five years of experience in ABA service delivery, including staff training, supervision, or program leadership; and demonstrated experience implementing evidence-based autism interventions.

Job Duties

Training Leadership and Professional Development
  • Lead the design and implementation of structured onboarding for RBTs, GSAs, and other direct service providers.
  • Develop competency-based training systems that support independent performance and service consistency.
  • Deliver Behavioral Skills Training and coaching to strengthen staff confidence and retention.
  • Support the professional growth of trainees and graduate students through modeling and mentorship.
  • Coordinate training compliance and professional development systems, including RBT requirements tracking, BACB fieldwork supervision processes and verification documentation for trainees, Learning Management System (LMS) training completion, and required certifications such as crisis response training and CPR/First Aid.
  • Monitor updates to BACB standards and guidance and ensure that staff training, supervision, and continuing education practices remain compliant with current requirements.
  • Collaborate with operational leadership to ensure staff readiness for service delivery, including verification of required training and competency prior to independent clinical work.
Service Quality and Fidelity Support
  • Develop systems to support and strengthen fidelity of implementation by direct service staff.
  • Conduct skill observations and competency assessments.
  • Identify training needs and implement targeted supports.
  • Collaborate with the Clinical Director to ensure training practices align with clinical protocols and service standards.
Program Implementation Support
  • Support clinical programs across the center by preparing staff to implement program procedures with consistency and fidelity.
  • Develop scalable training materials and competency tools to support program growth.
  • Assist with staff readiness for new program rollouts.
  • Develop and maintain standardized training materials, protocols, and competency checklists to support consistent training across programs.
Data and Continuous Improvement 
  • Track training outcomes and staff competency metrics to inform continuous improvement and workforce planning.
  • Use data to improve onboarding processes and training effectiveness. 
  • Provide periodic updates on workforce readiness and training needs. 
  • Maintain documentation systems that track staff training completion, supervision activities, and competency verification. 
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives related to staff training and service delivery.
Caregiver Training and Modeling
  • Provide caregiver training that supports family partnership and skill development in natural environments. 
  • Model intervention strategies to support staff learning and implementation. 
  • Support staff in delivering caregiver coaching with consistency.
