About


Melissa has over 7 years of experience serving children with autism in clinical settings. She received her bachelor's degree in Psychology from The University of Nebraska at Lincoln and her master's degree in Psychology (with an emphasis in Applied Behavior Analysis) from the University of Nebraska at Omaha. Melissa received her clinical training at the University of Nebraska Medical Center's Munroe-Meyer Institute, specializing in the assessment and treatment of challenging behavior and went on to serve as an autism intervention consultant to Nebraska school systems. In her previous roles, she has specialized in the assessment and treatment of elopement behavior in children with autism.

At the UNT Kristin Farmer Austim Center, she collaboratively provides quality Early Intervention and Behavior Intervention services to children with an autism spectrum disorder and continues to explore ways of leveraging emerging technologies to increase access to autism intervention services to communities that are underserved.
