Susan Nichols, PhD, BCBA-D
Director of Intervention
"Susie" Nichols has over 10 years of experience in the field of special education and autism intervention. She has worked as a self-contained special education teacher and interventionist in local school districts. Susie is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst and has served children with autism in both the home and center-based programs. She received her Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from Texas Woman's University and her Master's and PhD from UNT in the area of Special Education/Autism Intervention. Susie is a member of several professional organizations and has taught a variety of undergraduate and graduate courses in the department of Special Education at UNT.
Susie grew up in Chicago and has been in the DFW area since 1998. She has been married to her husband James for 7 years and they have two fun-loving children: Katherine, 4 and William, 1½. She likes to spend her free time playing outside with her kids, shopping, dining out with her husband, and attending large family gatherings. She is looking forward to applying evidence-based practices to individuals with autism in a family-centered environment.
